Germany -- world cup '06

The fan camp is located in the sports park Kniebrech in Kaiserslautern and offers affordable places to spend the night in large tents or camping tents which you have brought yourself. The camp will offer a place to spend the night for ca. 1,000 persons. There the visitors can individually book a place to sleep, you pay online with the credit card. Sanitary equipment as well as large catering rooms are available.
The fan camp is supposed to serve as an inexpensive possibility to spend the night for fans as well as a meeting point for activities together. The campers can for example barbeque on places intended for this or have the possibility in the "internet cafe" to communicate with the whole world.

The camp is 20.000m² big and is located in the picturesque low mountain range of northern Hesse. It is close to a motorway junction and due to its central location any stadium in Germany can be reached in a couple of hours.
The campground is fully equipped for campers and caravans and the modern facilities include sanitary arrangements with hot showers, launderette, a large tent for parties and other events, entertainment tent with PS2s, billiard and table football, dartboards, internet access point with 5 terminals, food stalls, restaurant and a biergarten.

The camp has a football field, beach volleyball field and a pool with a beach bar. Within 15km you can find adventure baths, a golf course, a cinema and a discotheque. In Giessen 30km or 30min by train away you can find anything else.
