David Garrett will join us at The Chicago Theatre for 2 shows on January 28 at 3pm and 8pm. He's a star everywhere - from the catwalk to the Billboard charts, throughout Europe and around the globe - and his groundbreaking PBS specials, along with high-profile appearances on Oprah, The Today Show, Good Morning America and NPR's "All Things Considered", have all contributed to his rise as one of contemporary music's most popular classical music artists.
His most recent recording and performance project, entitled "Rock Symphonies", displays Garrett's love of both classical and rock music, marrying the two genres with a fierce intensity. Featuring new interpretations of his favorite rock anthems - by U2, Nirvana, Metallica and Aerosmith, amongst others - David's virtuosic violin playing shines through with precision and power.
