Available as either a Private Tour or Join-in Group Tour, we collect you from your Bangkok hotel to begin the journey that travels west from Bangkok towards the Thai / Burma (Myanmar) border and the province of Kanchanaburi.
Having arrived in the city of Kanchanaburi, first stop is a visit to the Thailand-Burma Railway Museum, an interactive museum, information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway. The fully air-conditioned center offers the visitor an educational and moving experience.
Continue to the WWII Cemetery, final resting place for over 6,000 allied prisoners of war, and the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai.
Take a long-tailed boat on the Kwai River, passing unspoiled mountainous jungle scenery to check into your resort. After lunch journey by boat and road to visit the Hellfire Pass Memorial before returning to your Raft House in the late afternoon. Dinner is served on land which is followed by a 45-minute presentation of Mon Dance, a fitting prelude to your night ensconced in your raft house on the river.
Following breakfast the next day you have a change to visit the nearby ethnic Mon Tribal Village. Here you also have the opportunity to experience an optional jungle elephant trek as well. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before taking a historic rail journey aboard the Death Railway Train. It is then time to rejoin your transport for the return journey to Bangkok.
