Visitors to Willam Howard Taft National Historic Site will be exposed to the familial and social influences that shaped the character and ideals of the only American who ever served as both President and Chief Justice of the United States. Guided tours of the period rooms on the first floor and the exhibits on the second floor of the birthplace provide solid insight into William Howard Taft and glimpses into the lives of his parents, siblings and children.

The Taft Education Center exhibits and programs provide a greater understanding of the role other Tafts have played to help mold public life in Cincinnati, the nation and even the world. Gallery I contains a life-size animatronic figure of Charles P Taft II, son of William Howard Taft. Charlie will talk to visitors about what he called “quite a family.” Gallery II contains static and traveling exhibits. An orientation video and a gift shop are also available in the education center.

The visitor experience begins in the Taft Education Center. Visitors should allow one hour to take in all the activities.

Krohn Conservatory located at 1501 Eden Park Drive in Eden Park is itself architecturally significant, having been built in 1933 at the height of the Art Deco era. But it’s what's inside those aluminum and glass walls that make Krohn Conservatory truly special.

You’d have to travel a good distance from Cincinnati to visit a rainforest and a desert – or come to Krohn Conservatory, Cincinnati Parks’ nationally recognized showcase of more than 3,500 plant species from around the world.

Our “world” changes throughout the year with special exhibits and programs, including the ever-popular springtime “Butterfly Show,” where thousands of butterflies are let loose in a specially-themed garden. But you can always visit the rainforest waterfall and exotic plants on permanent display in the Palm, Tropical, Desert and Orchid houses.

Consider joining Friends of Krohn… for some great benefits: You’ll be helping support our unique facility and as a member, you can save 10% in our gift shop. Receive free admission to special events at Krohn and receive invitations to special preview sales throughout the year. For more information about the Friends of Krohn, stop by the Visitor Center or call (513) 421.5707.

The Visitor Center for Cincinnati Parks is located in the lobby of Krohn Conservatory. The Visitor Center receives and responds to inquiries about Cincinnati Parks as well as Krohn Conservatory, and makes Parks-related brochures available in the lobby kiosk. The Visitor Center is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

JANUARY CLASSIC

See this 90-minute OMNIMAX favorite to celebrate New Year's Eve on December 31! It will play at 9 p.m., so come down and take in a major rock extravaganza before your night on the town! Described by critics as “electrifying”, “an overwhelming experience”, “sensory overload”, and “satisfaction delivered”, this OMNIMAX classic is the perfect match for the OMNIMAX dome screen and powerful sound system.

To see the Stones "live" is an unbeatable experience. Shot in IMAX during tour stops in London, Berlin and Turin, this is a classic concert film of the Rolling Stones' blockbuster "Steel Wheels" tour. Songs include: Start Me Up, Sad Sad Sad, Tumbling Dice, Ruby Tuesday, Rock and a Hard Place, Honky Tonk Woman, You Can't Always Get What You Want, Happy, Paint It Black, 2000 Light Years from Home, Sympathy for the Devil, Street Fighting Man, It's Only Rock 'n' Roll, Brown Sugar and (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction.
