- Ohara Bijutsukan (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except Monday): collection of works from folk art potters Hamada Shoji, Kawai Kanjiro,Tomimoto Kenkichi, and expatriate Bernard Leach.

Imbe : 700 year-old pottery village famous for its unglazed Bizen-yaki. To get to Imbe from Okayama, take the JR Ako line 40 minutes to Imbe Station. If Zen has a material expression, it is Bizen-yaki. The area around Imbe station is rife with kilns, studios and shops.
