Alilaguna
Linea ROSSA or Linea Blu or Blue Line (Airport-San Marco Giardinetti)
Basic adult fares range from 6 to 13 euros, depending on distance, with a top fare of 25 euros for the express Linea Oro boat between the airport and San Marco Giardinetti. You'll pay an extra euro if you buy your ticket on board.
note: Some versions of the Venice Connected pass (formerly the Venice Card) include Alilaguna airport transportation, but the pricing scheme is so frustrating that you may prefer to simply buy a boat ticket.
Alilaguna is a separate company from ACTV, the transit authority that runs Venice's public water and land buses. ACTV's Tourist Travel Cards do not cover transportation on Alilaguna airport boats.
Go outside the Arrivals terminal and turn left. Walk to the end of the terminal's sidewalk and look for the sign for water taxis and the Alilaguna water bus. The walkway to the piers is straight ahead, beyond the brick column.
You'll also see a sign for the very expensive porter service outside the terminal. Unless you're desperate, roll your wheeled suitcase behind you or get a luggage trolley. (You'll need a coin to unlock a luggage trolley.Follow the covered walkway to the piers. The sidewalk is flat, so you can easily roll your wheeled suitcase or trolley. Allow 7 minutes for the walk, or a bit more if you're tired and burdened with heavy luggage.Continue past the Water Taxi piers to the "Alilaguna Lines" ticket kiosk, where you can buy a one-way or roundtrip ticket to Venice.

Go a few streets off Piazza San Marco, and look for the smaller restaurants and pups which server affordable and good food. We stopped at Planet, a small pup with great service, excellent food and a reasonable price tag. There are many more like this away from the center.
