We are going to try to make it somewhere near Columbia our first night of travel. I am a night person and would actually prefer traveling during the night. And since we dont have to leave for winston-salem until about 3:00 we should be good and rested up. Columbia is just a sleeping point pretty much.

This is a long story but many years when I was right out of high school me, my mother, and grandmother went to daytona beach and orlando as a graduation trip. We had a blast. Anyway we stopped at this particular stake and shake and it was hillarious, we got our food in the craziest order ever. Our side items came first, meals, then drinks, finally our shakes. It was quite comical. They were very busy that day and we understood. But from that day anytime we had a strange dining experience we called it a "Stake and Shake". So I figured we just have to include this in our side stop to Daytona.
Our 2nd day of travel should bring us to Daytona Beach FL. We are hoping to get to relax beachside and maybe catch up on a little sleep. I would like to get there in time to see the sun go down on the ocean. We are also hoping it will be warm enough to walk barefoot on the waters edge and let the waves roll over our toes. There is nothing more romantic than a moonlight walk or sunrise walk on the beach.

This looks like a decent little hotel. The rates are cheap and thats what we were hoping for. We just need a place to rest. Plus it is oceanfront so we can see and hear the waves crashing in. Bright and early we will head to Key Lago FL.

My mom and dad recently stayed here and they absolutely loved it. We are staying in a room they recommended. It looks like a lovely place from the pictures I have seen. We will be staying here during our 5 nights in Key Largo :)

We plan on taking the Glass Bottom Boat tour that they offer. It is 24.95 a person. The state park is acutally in the ocean and it is a giant reef. I can't wait to see all the fish and corals.
