Washington DC - Early April

A trip from April 01, 2010 to April 06, 2010, travelling to Washington
This was supposed to be a summer vacation with side trip … More
This was supposed to be a summer vacation with side trip to Va Beach, but with Cross Country camp in Colorado this year we probably couldn't do it. We do have some vacation time around Easter and it just happens to be Cherry Blossom Festival in DC.

Start now to get your White House tour reserved and tickets for the Washington Monument booked. We started planning late (two months) and with the Cherry Blossom Festival we were locked out. Don't be afraid of the Metro, its easy and the best way to get around. I would try to work in one good guided tour just to get some good background and leave the transportation to someone else for awhile.

Thanks, lots of info. We are leaving tomorrow for 8 days. I was thinking that I have over scheduled my days, but it sounds like ya'll did too. Hope we get to see everything that we want too. PS I booked tickets at Washington Monument online for $1.50 each well worth it.
