We visited the park a few different times during our stay. But first we decided to rent bikes for the 9.6 mile trail, with some great stops for skipping rocks or browsing the lighthouse grounds.
Our boys (8 and 11) did just fine on the moderate trails. Rentals from Nor Door, below.

Requires $7 day vehicle pass to go to this beach in the state park. Rented 2 double kayaks for a reasonable price, for one hour. Friendly and helpful staff at their rental counter and at the shore to help us push off!

Only stopped to "gawk" at the goats. Restaurant looked ok, but my boys were turned off by all the gnomes and troll decor. Authentic Swedish, I'm sure, but it wasn't something we were in the mood for....

We were told it was an hour wait to sit by the train that delivers food... so we sat out on the porch, which was just fine! Cute little place to stop on our drive from one side of the peninsula to the other!
