spend some time at the temple, go to the bus station, find the bus to Wagah (I think it was gate 37; dropped off a woman I met on the train to Amritsar a month and a half ago), which leaves every 20 minutes I think, at Wagah get a rickshaw to the border, go through customs and immigration on both ends, then grab a rickshaw to Attari village, from where there are buses to Lahore. Those buses take half an hour. All in all, Amritsar to Lahore should take no more than 3 hours. heck out border ceremony

it is some 16 to 18 hrs drive, from Rawalpindi Pir Wadhai bus terminal, Abbotabad, Manshera, Chattar plain, Besham, Chilas and Gilgit.
