It was so cool going down flights of stairs and escalators finally reaching the platform and seeing a humongous cutaway on the wall where they had dug the tunnel for the subway behind plexiglass of gravesites and a drainage ditch then realizing just how far underground we just traveled. It was truly amazing to think how many cities had been built ontop of cities to where modern athens is now. I highly recommend seeing this on your trip it costs nothing and most of it is escalators so it doesnt even exert that much energy.
