Had a nice surprise stay here at the Carriage House. Built in the 1890's, it never was a Carriage House. It was built by another man whose Inn is across the street. He built The Carriage House for his daughter. Then became a nursing home around 1940, renovated in 2000-2001 to become a hotel. Nice place!

Did the Clif walk today and visited 4 mansions. They were wonderful. The self guided tour with the recorded info and headphones is the way to go. We viewed the Breakers, Marble House, Rosecliff and The Elms. We also ate at the Elms, very nice day. Driving to Hyannis tonight.

We ate at John's and HIGHLY recommend it! We had the clam strip dinner and it was wonderful. The fried scallops looked great too. Interesting, you stand and order move over to another window and pick up.

Went with the Dolphin Fleet on Tuesday. Took an hour boat ride to the spot where Whale watching was prominent. Sat on the right side of the boat and got a majority of the views. WOW..what fun. To me, it was like they were showing off for everyone.Great trip. and Provincetown was wonderful.

What a great little place. We paid $86 a night and the service was fantastic. Everyone was very nice. We would come back here again.

Went here on Wednesday. We had some ferry issues as we did not realize the lot near the ferries would fill up. Did not plan for long enough as the out lot was 4 miles away or about 15 minutes. Thus we missed our planned ferry and took the next one. Once we arrived at MV, we had a great day. Toured the Tabernacle, Kara rode the Flying Horse Carousel and we did a beach stop. Very nice.

Toured downtown Hyannis and West Dennis today. Headed to Ogunquit with a stop in Boston. Ate at the Quincy Market and walked around a bit. After some horrendous traffic for an hour around Boston, we arrived at Ogunquit. Toured Perkins Cove and ate at Barnacle Billy's. YUM..

One of the most miserable drives we have encountered. It literally rained from sun up to sun down. Maine roads are brutal and the traffic awful. Had a maintenance light go on and switched out our Rav4 for a Camry at the Bangor Airport. Arrived safely and loving our hotel inn accommodations.

We arrived this early evening. What a nice place, clean and current. Wonderful HD flat screen on wall. Very clean and friendly staff. They gave us some good advise. We are praying for a break from the rain so we can enjoy this beautiful area.

Took this in today and was very interesting to understand the efforts to sustain lobsters in the wild. No clue that out of a thousand lobsters hatched, less than 10 survive. Wow. Good stuff.

Had a carry out from Poor Boys tonight. We got sauteed lobster meal with broccoli, bread, pasta and brownie- 24 bucks. Great deal, great food. Highly recommended.

We also enjoyed this excursion today despite the nasty spitting wetness that was around all day. Captain John took us out to a lighthouse surrounded by a rocky line, which housed many, many harbor seals. Many pups came out in the water to greet us, though not has close has the whales..cute..Kara enjoyed seeing them too. Nice trip.

Went and found a playground today, walked around downtown a bit,and then went to the southwest harbor to eat at Thurstons Lobster Pound. Different experience. They take your live lobster out of the tank right in front of you then slip them into a boiling tank. Nothing fancy, just lobster!

Took Sunday and toured the park our last day. Went to Cadillac mountain summit but could not see a thing due to low hanging clouds. Also went to Sand Beach and Thunder Roll. Very cool. I am sure this is a wonderful, wonderful place, we just could not enjoy it with all the rain. Bummer.

Drove from Bar Harbor to North Conway New Hampshire today. This took about 5 hours.(Rained all the way, again-5th straight day) We arrived at Kahuna Laguna, a Best Western with an indoor water park. Very nice and pretty new. Kara played for 5.5 hours and all parties are pooped!! Heading back towards Providence and Boston tomorrow.
