Europe with Kids 2009

Take S-8 line from airport to Rosenheimer Platz. Purchase a 3 day Partner Tageskarte for the whole gang for 21 Euro. Stamp the ticket before use. I think it goes into a Blue Machine. Stay on the S-8 line to Rosenheimer Platz.

From the station, take a short taxi or walk toward river for about 1/2 mile (which would be a long way with kids and a ton of luggage).

Take a taxi from the hotel or S-Bahn to Karlsplatz and then walk 3 blocks East.

Two blocks East of St. Michael's.

A block East of the rear of Frauenkirche. Be sure to see the clock show at 11:00 or 12:00.

A block South of Marienplatz.

Pick up some tings for lunch and eat at the Biergarten. Pick a table without a tablecloth and picnic on whatever you gather. There is a McDonald's on Kaufingerstrasse and HeiliggeistStrasse. Go South for transportation when done.

Go South from Viktualien Markt down Reichenbach Strasse to Reichenbach Platz Street Car station. It has Green and Burgundy lines. Take the Green line headed East/North for two stops to the Deutsches Museum Stop.

Return to hotel when done and change into suit for registration and reception. Take taxi to Kempenski. Registration begins at 17:00 and the reception is at 18:00. Ditch reception at about 6:45. Jen and kids will swim and/or hang at the hotel for an hour and then taxi to Kempenski to meet for dinner.

Walk 2 short blocks South from Kempinski down Orlando Strasse to Hofbrauhaus. Take a taxi back to the Novotel when dinner ends.

Take Taxi there.

Walk from PH to Maximillian Strasse and then turn left. Go one black and arrive at Residenz.

Walk here from Residenz through the Residenz Garden. Head to the Chinese Biergarten and have a beer and some payground time. When done, walk West to Universitat Station.
