Our Honeymoon

I took a trip to PR in July stayed at the Quality in El Portal in Condando..it was wonderful. I went alone, but the staff their gave me great information on how to get around safely and inexpensively. The place I ate were great no meal over 20 dollars. The bus system easy to navigate..getting me around cheaply,..just make sure you have exact change. Off Condando there were some hotels offers free shuttles to Old San Juan on the weekend..just have to ask. The Walgreens was opened 24 hours and the nearby casinos and clubs were nice..if that is your thing. I even went to the Contemporary Art Museum and the beach all in one day. I went for an reasonably priced getaway, and the staff at the hotel was great giving the real low down on where I could go and eat and save money. Even when I needed a cab to the airport, they made arrangements and told me the best prices. I am going back and taking my daughter and plan to tour the rainforest. Driving is different than here in Texas, more like the east coast..so if you plan to rent a car be aware. I was able to tour all the tourist and regular beaches where they had the bodegas with food, music, etc which was great. The people were friendly and even with my poor Spanish, I was comfortable..and made several new friends.

I'm stopping in San Juan on a cruise with my older mother. Any suggestions of what to do in 1 day's time?

I plan on going to P-Rico this weekend.
I'm surfing for hotel and flight..
any good ideas of where to stay
