It was a great way to spend the holidays with our baby and his grandparents, who flew from cold and snowy Chelan, Washington. We spent a few days in Bangkok, then went to the island of Samed on Christmas Day. Our baby just loved the sea! While he played on the sand we had beach massages and enjoyed some fresh fruits and spicy green mango salad prepared by walking vendors. Every night we'd walk down the beach to check out the different restaurants, but eventually ate mostly at Silver Sand (chicken on hot plate) and Jep's (Thai food). On New Year's day we flew to Krabi and took the long-tail boat to Railay. We spent most of our time alternating between the two pools of our resort and the beautiful Phranang beach which has caves and limestone formations. On the way there we saw monkeys and rock climbers.
