This was my graduation gift to myself - my very own Grand Tour of Europe. I left just a few days after I graduated from college and spent 100 days traipsing around, seeing all that Europe has to offer. God, I wish I were still there.
Versailles is a must-see; also check out if any special exhibits are going on at the Grand Palais and the Petit Palais. Then take a cruise down the Siene.
Devinne, my entry and exit points for my European backpacking trip this year are the same as yours was on this 2008 trip. I hear a lot about people using a cobination of transportation around Europe and have a question for you. The eurorail passes are per country or a few border countries, since you went all over like I plan to, what option did you decide? What was the best way to get around? :)
i have a 3 bedrooms flat in madrid. It is a nice flat in a very safe neighbothood only 10 minutes from the very center ifmadrid. I live in san diego, so the place is empty mostly because i am afraid of renting it though an agency to spanuers. The spanish law protrect renters with kids and even if they don't pay the rent, i need to takr them to court. any way,,, i prefer torent it to americans that i can meet here and ideally they would rent it for like a year. We can discuss the price.
my name is bent viv is my wife. I was born in copenhagen Denmark and emmigrated to usa in 1967. my wife and her doughter and me took a trip to denmark in 1985 , we rented a car for the last week we were there ,that is not expensive at all . we were there for 2 weeks and rented a farmhouse out in the country. the people that live there move out to the barn so they can make the extra mony on the rent we got 2 br kitchen and bath with shower for 200 dollars the most expensive part was the air fare . Denmark is a verry small country but it is wel worth visiting and also take a boat ride to sweeden an get the large smoregardsbord for lunch there ae lots of museums and parks to visit
I am going with my daughter and her husband on a 10 or 15 day trip to Rome, Venice?, Paris, Madrid, Barcelona?. Fly from Houston-one city and take rail and stay in small hotels as we go or better plan???
Hello everyone. I wanted to know if anyone can help me with this problem I have. I went to Florence, Italy and found a restaruant called "i tre pini" I had a glass of wine there and it was sweet and tasted kinda like jolly rancher candy. The lable on the bottle was red but I can't seem to recall the name of the wine. Was wondering if anyone out there has been and tried that same wine and if they can share with me the name. Thank so much and have many beautiful travels.
