Hi there, there is no particular amount to spend, will just spend for whatever we neeed and we can afford. The amount of the ticket for the 3 of us was almost 4,000 dollars (pdx-to-narita-to-philippines) then 3 days/nights for hotel (like 50 dollars a day). Hope this will be helpful to you.

leaving for Manila tomorrow out of LAX, you've given me some ideas since I will be spending 10 days in and around Manila, when I bought my ticket, I was going to snorkel in Mabini in Batangas, but I have found out that they are currently experiencing typhoons and I don't want the hassel so I've changed my plans!

American tourists planning to visit the Philippines should consider that today, anti-American sentiments is running at an all time high and I feel that American tourists are not welcome, or even safe, in the islands. There was a time when the words "Filipino" and "hospitality" were spoken in one breath. Alas, today I find that Filipinos are "bastos" towards America and Americans.
