Reach by cheap bus (US10 or so) from Ho Chi Minh. City has shopping, tourist attractions, Russian Market, backpacker scene. NOTE Possiblity of reaching Phnom Penh via Mekong. Ho Chi Minh to Can Tho and then up the Mekong to Chau Doc. Chau Doc to Phnom Penh via minibus or taxi. Once in Phnom Penh we can go to Sihanoukville (and Ream National Park), coastal resort, for a few days.
