Arrived at the airport around 1030pm. Rented car from Hertz. They gave me Ford Mustang with Satelite radio for $20 more. It was well worth it as I had a Kio Rio rented. I used a GPS which was wonderful for getting around. I tried to avoid the highways because there was alot of construction going on the the drivers around there are jerks and dont let you onto the highway.
Also if you use a GPS, you can go all back roads and see much more than just the highways. But it is worth going through the loop once. I lived in San Antonio 16 years ago at Ft. Sam Houston. I put my old address in and it couldnt find it. Here to find out, they tore the house down and built new spanish looking houses. They were really nice.

We went down to the Riverwalk on our 2nd day there. Took the kids down at night time so they could see all the lights and things going on. Then took them on Monday during the day and rode the boat down the riverwalk and ate at Rainforest Cafe. Only thing I didnt like about it was the homeless people coming up to you asking you for change. It scared my kids.

We went here on Sunday. There was no wait in any lines. It was really nice. They were having fright fest so there was a bunch of monsters hanging around which scared my daughter who is 10. All the rides were fun with the exception on one. The wooden rollercoaster was very harsh on the body. I couldnt wait to get off.

It is free to go in here but you have to wait in a long line. You cant take any pictures once you get in. Only on the outside. You are better off going to the back of the alamo and walking in that way so you dont have to wait so long.

This motel is right on the loop but you dont really hear the traffic noise. Especially if you are put far from the office which we were. When we checked in, I was told since this was our first stay there, they were upgrading us to a kitchenette. The one we were in didnt have all the cooking stuff that we needed to cook our meals. Im sure had we had called the office and asked for it, they would have brought us what we needed. After 3 nights, our airconditioner started leaking so they had to change our rooms. They put us up by the pool which was great to be able to walk right out of your room and to the pool. Also the closer you are to the office, the more capable you are to get wireless internet access. Complimentary breakfast in the morning is nothing spectacular. 4 different kinds of cereals, wrapped danishes, wrapped muffins and wrapped bagels. OJ, milk and coffee. But it was nice not to have to spend money on breakfast. Two computers in the office to use. I never really did see the rooms that didnt have a kitchenette. They all looked like either condos or kitchenettes so chances are, if you book a two bed non kitchenette, you will get a kitchenette.

I spent about $150 on 4 of these attractions for the three of us. Quite pricey but the kids enjoyed it. Tomb rider not really worth the money so I would skip it if I were you.
