Minnesota and South Dakota Road Trip (Fall 2008)

A trip from September 26, 2008 to September 30, 2008
On our way to Sioux Falls, SD, we stopped in Sanborn, MN … More
On our way to Sioux Falls, SD, we stopped in Sanborn, MN, where we visited the Sod House on the Prairie. Some of the attractions we enjoyed while in Sioux Falls included an Indian Pow-Wow, historic Falls Park, Old Courthouse Museum, Pettigrew Home & Museum, and the Sertoma Butterfly House. (If you ever find yourself in Sioux Falls, I highly recommend you visit Sertoma Butterfly House. And if it's pleasant weather outside, take a stroll through Falls Park.) We made a short stop in Mitchell, SD to see the 2008 theme of the Corn Palace. On our return to Minneapolis we visited Pipestone National Monument in Pipestone, MN (an interesting outdoor attraction and walk on a good weather day), and the Laura Ingalls Wilder Museum in Walnut Grove, MN.
