Here, we stretched our legs by walking a trail before feeding baby Kaden and the animals. Derrick played with Lincoln and let him run through the tall prairie grass. Before leaving, we had a family picnic next to the truck.
We checked into the Holiday Inn Express for the night. Upon waking and getting around we ate lunch at the Mexican restaurant beside our hotel, Mi Ranchito. After lunch, we viewed the Scotts Bluff National Monument and Chimney Rock NHS before continuing our trek west.
We decided to stop here, in Salt Lake City, for the night. We stayed at the Quality Inn Airport. Upon waking, we went to Jiffy Lube for an oil change, ate lunch at Wendy's, and forged ahead.
