Another good "side trip" in Chi. is going to the Brookfield Zoo (a bigger zoo than Lincoln Park Zoo). Fun to take the commuter train from Union Station to the "Zoo Station" and make the short walk through a residential neighborhood to the south entrance of one of the world's greatest zoos.
