Today is the first day of the trip. I spent most of the time planning for the trip and shopping stuff for the trip. Got a GARMIN NUVI 680 GPS. I am sure this will be very helpful for my trip. Also bought a new tent , Ice chest and some stuff for munching .

I might decide to stay in Irvine tonight and start for Palm Springs or Joshua Trip tomorrow. Change in plans before it even began.

Neways .. that's all for now.Currently at the Irvine Heritage park library.

Bachan - I did a trip very similar to this a long time ago, visiting the Grand Canyon, Arches, Zion, Monument Valley and a number of other places. I've also done Sedona. You will have a blast! The geographic variety in the US is mind boggling! You should get up to Yellowstone if you have a chance.

I didn't see Yosemite National Park listed on your list! It is amazing! I just went a couple months ago and I was blown away!

Hi Bachan ... hope you're having a great time! I agree with Randi -- you should make the loop up north to Yellowstone (or at least into Wyoming & Idaho and northern Colorado & Utah) if you don't mind adding a few miles between Moab and Cedar City. And Yosemite National Park is awesome, too.

Thanks Randi, I was considering yellow stone . I might have to save it for the next trip. thanks for your suggestion.

Yes you are right , yosemite is amazing , I was there 2 yrs back around the same time . We were mostly camping in the Tioga pass area, it is amazing at this time of the year with snow covered monutains and some of the lakes partially snow covered.

Thanks Terri, yes I will be going up to Cedar City to visit Zion . I have a great time driving up 550 N yesterday.
