Istanbul trip

My boyfriend and I spent a few days this summer in Istanbul visiting some of the major tourist attractions in the city and taking two quick and convenient side trips by plane to Cappadocia and Ephesus.

Istanbul is a lovely city, with so much flavour to offer and during the summer months is overwhelmed with tourists from all over the world, particularly from the US. Istanbul is such an addictive city full of historically relevant sights. Within Istanbul you may find visiting the Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi and Dolmabache Palaces of particular assistance. Many of these sights can be walked to, but it helps to have the servıces of an experıenced tour company to help with arranging tıckets, inter-city travel and buses and airplane reservations. Sometimes getting to the bus station or from the station to the tourist attraction requires pick and drop services, so it's best to rely on a touring company that can orchestrate all this. You can also do these visits on your own without hiring a tour company. Walking in the Hippodrome is free. A visit to the Blue Mosque is also free, but do leave a donation as you leave. Tickets to Haiga Sophia and Topkapi (which are next door to each other) can be bought at the door. Dolmabache Palace can be reached by tram.
