Why travel to Cartagena, Colombia?
Although Colombia has gotten a bad rap throughout the years, Cartagena is one of the safest cities in Latin America. Cartagena is the favorite place for Colombia's young jettsetters who are looking to party hard and relax on the beach during their vacation. The city explodes during Semana Santa (Easter week), the 2nd week of November (National Beauty Pageant), and the last week of December (New Years) and first week of January (Ultra Music Festival). Another great time to go is mid-June to the end of July. A lot of people take vacation during this time, so the nightlife is good during the weekends.
