I bought a very cheap airline ticket - my father seems to thinks it´s so cheap, that I probably have have to push the airplane down the runway myself and serve drinks onboard...I arrive (hopefully) at JFK Airport at 16.00 hrs...

I´m staying at a Hostel for the first couple of nights. Later on I change to Trek America´s hotel in New Jersey, which is were I will be picked up and the trip starts. The Hotel in New Jersey is expensive and it´s in New Jersey - need I say more ha ha! What do I know, i´ve never been to New Jersey - but i´ve seen enough Kevin Smith movies, to know that the only thing to do in New Jersey is to hang out at the local Quickstop.

This is the hotel were all the travellers are picked up by Trek America...looks like a pretty boring place to me :-) Yahoo! Maps says: "No attractions near by". I wonder where the closest Quickstop is located.
After 31 days of camping (we are staying 4 nights in hotels, rest is camping) i´m sure i´ll regret ever having written this. I´m sure i´ll miss this nice concrete-block, once i´m out where the mosquitos are the size of small birds :-)

According to plan we are staying in Washington DC for 2 days. I have no idea what we are going to see or where we are staying - exept i´ts camping....i suspect we will see the Mall (boy was I disapointed when I learned this was NOT a shopping center!!!....just kidding. Honestly, i´m not that stupid..I think). I would like to see the Smithsonian....

We are driving all the way from St. Augustine down to Key West. I´ts a 850 km drive and takes approx. 8 hrs.The following notes about the lenght and times it takes to drive to certain places is only for my own amusement. Being from a country, where you can drive for one end to the another in just 4 hours, it´s very fascinating for me to know the distances. I actually don´t think i´ve ever sat in a car for more than 4 hours hmmm...
We are staying in Key West for 2 days.
I hear the sunset is the main attraction? I wonder why? And Hemingway´s old hang-out Sloppy Joe´s..or something and margaritas...

Hey! What happend to Miami? Why are we not going to Miami? I have no idea. These stops are "Flexible", which means if we all agree, we can do other stuff than what´s on the itinerary. So maybe i´ll see Miami after all.
I´ve actually been to Panama City Beach before. This is where I took part of my diving certificate in 1994. We dove the U.S.S Strenght of the coast of Panama City and the freshwater springs in Morrisson. I´ve vacationed a couple of times as well in Destin, between Panama City and Pensacola, also back in 1993 -94. Ps. They have the best seafood and oyster place called "The Back Porch" - it was back then anyway..
