We need to get away badly for a few days, but we don't have a lot of cash for travel. Louisville is close and I LOVE the city and can't wait to show it to my husband! We are definitely going to do as much as possible in the time we have :)
It's friday and I'm making last minute changes! We don't want to get caught at Kentucky Kingdoms in the rain :D I'm revamping to do more stuff inside. I found a really cool bowling alley which will be such a great surprise for Darren- he bowled a 220 last night, so I know he'll be excited about this place on 4th street! I can't wait to see some great plays, too...I LOVE theatre and Louisville has some great stuff showing.
This trip was such a blast. I love this city, it was pretty much like I remembered it. The B&B was awesome- I'll go there every time I visit the city, as long as it's still up and running. It was set in a beautiful historic district too...I think my favorite thing of the trip was the morning we just wandered around looking at old houses and churches and stuff! The only bummer about the trip was that I forgot that Kentucky Kingdom didn't open till Memorial day, so we missed out on that :( And we never did find that bowling place! weird. The city seems to really be feeling the economy right now. So many houses up for sale! I really hope it turns around for the better, this city is wonderful and I'd hate to see it lose its charm.
