Step into our factory and smell the aroma of chocolate, apricot, cinnamon or pineapple, whatever is being cooked up that day. A visit to our candy making factory in Fairfield, Calif., located about an hour's drive north of San Francisco, is a sugary delight.
During the 40-minute walking tour, Jelly Belly guides will show you a real working factory where we cook up over 150 different sweet treats. Learn the secrets to how they create the legendary Jelly Belly jelly bean, and discover why it takes more than a week to make a single bean. See taffy, chocolates, and wild gummi critters in the making, too.
Visitor Center Cafe
Have lunch at the Jelly Belly Cafe where you can order jelly bean-shaped pizza and hamburgers. Ready for coffee and dessert? Stop at the Java Bar for espresso drinks or wander over to the ice cream counter for truly decadent ice cream cones. There's even an outdoor patio and picnic area to dine al fresco if you prefer sunshine to neon lights.
Cafe hours are 11 AM to 3 PM PST.
Open Daily
The Jelly Belly Visitor Center is open daily from 9 AM to 5 PM daily, and factory tours operate daily from 9 AM to 4 PM, except Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and Easter Sunday. We may also be closed the day before or after these holidays.
Tours are especially popular and referred by many as a "unique and sweet experience". Reservations are not required. Tours are FREE and run daily from 9:00am to 4:00pm*. Tours depart approximately every 15 minutes throughout the day and last approximately 40 minutes. The wait for a tour may be as long as 90 minutes during Easter, Spring Break, summer and the winter holidays, however, the typical wait is just 15 minutes. Please plan to bring strollers or wheelchairs as all areas of the Visitor Center and factory tour are fully accessible.
*Except some holidays – subject to change
Weekend Tours
On weekends and certain holidays, we still conduct our full 40-minute factory tours, but since our candy makers are at home with their families, we give our candy making machines a rest. Video monitors show the different steps of our famous candy making process as you walk through the route.
