Cuernavaca is an urban town, not much to do (I do not recommend the local tour bus rides- you don't see much interesting), but I do recommend you go to the magical town of Tepoztlan, a 45 minute, 15 peso bus ride. Need to go to a diffferent bus station. Not the one next to the hotel. It is a 15 minute walk to get ot it or take a taxi. The town is surrounded by mountains and has a lovely weekend market. There is a small bakery off of the main market street that sells Organic natural bread. See a sign on the street pointing to it.

Small, 16 rooms, beautifull Colonial 19th century building in the heart of Cuernavaca. What Cuernavaca used to be.

you can't beat the location and service: you've got a 10 minute walk (max) to the Cortez Palace, market, Zocalo and a 5 minute walk to the Basilica and Jardin Borda - all must see's in pretty Cuernavaca.
the Brady museum, just a block from the hotel, is fantastic.

The Robert Brady Museum, Cathedral, Gardens, Palace of Cortez, Zocolo, movie theaters, and a plethora of dining choices are all within walking distance of Casa Colonial.
