On the way we can pop in and see Duomo Florence (massive church). But this will be seen after as well.

Piazza della Signoria - big square with open air statues (is on the walk from Duomo to Ponte Vecchio)
Ponte Vecchio (the walk from the Duomo to Ponte Vecchio covers all of Florence)
Pitti Palace - it has the Boboli Gardens
