Trying to plan one fancy, non-spontaneous dinner for the trip.
Candidates: 1)Yoshi's Cafe - Japanese-French Fusion Pros: One of the Best restaurants in the city Cons: Really expensive
2)Tango Sur - Argentinian Pros: Slightly less expensive than Yoshi's Cons: Not very Vegetarian friendly
Breakfast Options: 1) The Bagel - I had no idea how close this was to our hostel. I am so pumped i have been craving their pickles ever since i went there 4 years ago.
2) Ann Sathers - One word: Crepes
Other: 1) Bourgeois Pig - Coffee shop & cafe - They Deliver! But its about a block from our hostel! Prolly a good place to find all the local newspapers & stuff (Also a good option for breakfast as they have amazing coffee & forty kinds of tea & fresh baked pastries along with a whole menu of cafe food). We're staying on depaul campus & this is a fav among students. Its kind of locally famous. Was even on a Rachel ray travel special. everyone says not to miss it, and it seems like it would be hard to since it is so freaking close to where we are staying
2) Chicago Diner - even tho it doesnt sound like it, its a vegetarian restaurant. popular, has a great brunch. Note to self: Large Portions
3)Weiner's Circle - Hot dog stand. Basically this is the pita pit or buckeye donuts of the area. If on our way home from the bar after midnight, maybe we'll stop by. Halfway decent, but the service is not for the faint of heart. They have veggie burgers
