I will be travelling with 1 other person. I was wondering if someone can offer suggestions on which rail pass, if any, to purchase. My guess is that I will take a TGV from Paris to Strasbourg, and that I will still have to pay a supplement on top of my rail pass, so I'm not sure if it is cheaper to simply purchase point to point tickets, or go for one of the passes. I was also thinking of possibly renting a car in Nice for 2 days so I can drive to places like Monaco, Cannes, and Antibes, which made me consider the rail and drive pass. Would it be more economical to simply take trains everywhere and purchase a supersaver pass since two of us will be travelling together?
