I personally love the Pizza My Heart in this town, it's not quite as beachy as the rest but it's still a fun and lively place. Cannery Row is also cool, not to mention this town has about a million smoke shops.

The boardwalk is always fun, a female friend and me walked from our hotel to the boardwalk. It's an easily navigatable town. Very simple and touristy. I love it, I have gone back 3 times since.

Somewhere we stopped along the way, great Lord of the Rings festival. Even greater parks. The Jelly Belly Factory is also very close by.
