This was a pretty nice place, but to be honest I thought it was a little too crowded. Activities offered in the package we got was an open bar, beach lounger (by a bunch of drunk retards) and just a chance to sit still and catch some sun.

Yeah, while in Cozumel, RENT A JEEP!

A scooter is fun, but there is much more you can see and do in a Jeep that you can't do on a scooter. It is worth the 60 some odd dollars for a days worth of driving around.

Also, see as much as you can. Try to get to the ruins. We ran out of time, but I really wanted to go see them.

Anywhere on the beach will be nice, but expensive. Downtown Tampa is not far from Clearwater or anything else you are looking for. I would recommend a nice place downtown.

As I have not stayed in any Tampa/Clearwater hotels, it is hard for me to make a recommendation, but I do hope you enjoy your stay here.

My friends and I will be down there May 26-30, 2008, wondering how you did the excursions? did you book them prior, or waited until you got there?

also question about the cruise itself, was there enough to do on the boat?

Yeah, there was plenty to do on the boat. We just kinda did our own thing for excursions. The stuff we wanted to do we found cheaper on our own.

I wish you luck with that... Vacations away like that are really sometimes just what is needed to put some spark into (or back into) a relationship when you get tired of the same old every day routine.
