Journey Euro trip

Well, finally I got the chance to go Europe “my dream trip” YAY……it was January 11, 2008 and it was my day to go to London! My sister Sandra took me to the airport, and when I got there I anxiously sat at the boarding area waiting to leave (it was a good thing Sandra did my only booking with British Airways online system, “was great I didn’t have to wait on line”. I boarded the plane around 4:10 pm, and it left at 4:44, arriving to London Heathrow airport at approximate 10:00 am of the 12th. Well overall British Airways was pretty good, gave me all of the food and drinks I wanted, a lot of red vine my favorite drink. I sat with a couple from Manchester, very nice people. During our conversation I learned that they were a soccer funs, he was Manchester fun and she was a Liverpool fun, I just don’t know how they were together anyways. When it comes to soccer talking they hate each other of course and a good way!!!!! ;-)

Front the Heathrow airport at London UK, I took a “dot2dot” shutter to the Luna & Simone Hotel at Belgrave Rd. At this moment I knew that I got started my amazing adventure.

Luna & Simone was a very nice hotel/ bed and breakfast owned by these twin French brothers. . I was at the first floor, lucky me!!!! Since was not an elevator, I didn’t have to carry my luggage to any floor. That could it be absolutely horrendous, especially with my 28 inch carry on luggage. JEJEJE!!!!!

After getting myself situated, it was time for some fun, time for sightseeing! So I started walking to the Victoria Underground station (five blocks walking distance from the hotel), something which I have never experience. To see so many people traveling underground, reminds me of large version of the NY subway. That same night I bought a day pass which cost me about 5,20 British pounds and was on my way!! took the underground for very first time and thanks God I didn’t good lost. With the tube station (London Underground) I got the chance to go to the Grand Cathedral, Piccadilly Circus, I also did some walking around the Piccadilly Circus area and Lelcester Square It was around mid night, tired and with a full day ahead of me, I heated back to the hotel to get a good night of sleep.

In the morning I woke up bright and early to go see what every tourist must see when they come to London. I started with getting on the Original Tour bus, yellow line, which took me to Buckingham Palace to see the Changing of the Guards. I arrived at the Buckingham Palace shortly after 10:00 am, since the event doesn’t get started until 11:30. During the ceremony I meet this nice Colombian couple, that after talking with them I ended up changing the course of my trip a little bit. Well at that point I knew that I was only going to stay at London about two days, I saw it all, the Trafalgar Square, Waterloo Pier, the British Airline London Eye, the Big Ben & Parliament, the amazing Westminster Abbey (which have flags of about 35 living knights), the St. Paul’s Cathedral, the London Bridge, Tower Bridge, The Tower of London, the Embankment Pier and finishing at the Picadilly Circus and Eros Statue.
