Opens at 9 AM. The line ups, especially for the elevator is quite long. Get there early if you want to avoid crowds and long lines. The line up to take the stairs is much shorter, and walking up to the first level (345 steps) is not too strenious. I suggest walking up to the first level and taking the elevator to the 2nd (359 steps) and 3rd level from there. There are souveneir shops in each level of the tower, and there are also cafes where you can get a light snack.

Ditto on D'orsay. You'll love Amboise. Try to get to Rue Mouffetard, arrondissment 5. It is a really neat street market of food and clothing. Everyday but Monday. One of my favorite things in Paris. Also Luxemberg Garden on the weekend. Have fun.
Thank you for your boat trip suggestion. We contacted them and arranged for a day trip. They were very helpful and sound fun. You've got me excited to go as well. In addition to my Paris suggestions when you're in Nice try to get to the flower market in the morning it's amazing. Also in July Monte Carlo has the International fireworks exhibition going on. Quite a show from the hills overlooking the harbor. Yachts with cigarette boats for dinghys, and helicoptor landing pads on them. The parking lot in front of the casino is great. If you have a lowly Mercedes you have to park a block away. Go into the casino and have a drink at the bar to the right as you walk in the view is one of the best ever.
January 2008 - bought the tickets to see Santana in Paris! I've never seen him perform, and to see him in Paris will only make it more memorable. Also, Sheryl Crow is opening for him, so all in all it will be a fantastic night!
