We are traveling with my 5 year old grandson who is really into history (for his age). He is a big fan of Ben Franklin and many other historic personalities. We would like our trip to be educating and fun, as well as geared to a five-year old.
Looking to travel from Ohio to Philadelphia, PA, and Washington, D.C. and include, perhaps, some other historic, educational, and child friendly (Gettysburg, Williamsburg?) stops along the way. Maybe even a "mining" experience for my five year old grandson. I am new to this, so I don't know what I am asking for..inexpensive hotels (with game rooms and indoor pools?) Help?
