I have to say I agree with you completely on your remarks about Venice. I was on a two week trip traveling Croatia and Sovenia and ended with a couple days in Venice. I was disappointed not only in the food, prices but also because as much as i have seen and heard about Venice's beauty, it didn't compare at all to Croatia.

Croatia is very beautiful country, we were there, much to see and to offer. Will go again. Let me correct you, official language in Croatia is Croatian.

I am Croatian who lives in the USA...so I am probably bias when I talk about Croatia...but I am very glad that more and more people are finding my country and liking it. Yes, it is a paradise!!!
My husband who is American loves going every year and his two favorite places are Plitvice Lakes and Dubrovnik.
