Apart from the Old Town sightseeing, I would also take a panoramic tour to Srdj Hill, above the Old Town and snap some amazing photos of the Old Town itself and the Elaphite Islands in the distance.
My wife and I spent our 25th anniversary in Croatia: train from Munich to Zagreb, plane to Dubrovnik, rental car up to coast to Split and Trogir, inland to a village called Slunj near the Plitvice lakes. It was all amazing, but the Lakes are one of the finest natural sites we've ever visited. We spent a 1 1/2 days walking around there. It was jaw dropping beauty. I'd say the Lakes are a "don't miss".
Croatia is like a paradise on earth for me..:) Especially the lakes in Plitvice.. Sooo amazing place!! I was inlove with that place in Croatia.. I would love to spent my whole life in this place ..:)
