Doors open at 8, shows start at 10. I saw Mates of State here during the hurricane evacuation. I was standing outside drinking beer when I noticed the singer and bass player from Death Cab for Cutie were drinking beers and smoking cigarettes next to me, bullshitting about some band or another. I thought about saying something, but what do you really say in that situation? They were just trying to hang out.

Lots of food... Hawaiian tex mex. Yum. Will have to wait for table. I think that when we went to Austin on Memorial Day the other guys all went here that Sunday and spent about 5 hours drinking fruity drinks. I think I would have enjoyed that.

Got taken here by some friends one time. They have an over-the-top but kind of expensive Sunday brunch that is actually kind of fancy, but the food was ridiculous (real mexican - not tex mex). Pancakes sound like a better option but I thought I'd mention it.

OK - so I had to write this one up for Yahoo. I do like this bar, but like all music places it depends who's playing. The band on Friday is called "Future Clouds and Radar". I have no clue who they are, but I bet on horses based on their names, and if this band was a horse I'd blow at least $2 on them.
