nice food, friendly people, fun nightlife in Georgetown, allot of cultural things to do, not so good for beaches, altough allot of beach activities, dont rent a scooter or car but first see how the traffic goes, I was there for 4 months, never rented anything, we think it was to dangerous for us, allot of accidents on Penang

very nice beaches!! better stay in a geusthouse, cheap and good, not longer than 3-4days, rent a scooter to see the island not allot of poeple on the road, ask a local what you realy have to see, go out to the reageabar!! very quiet island

very nice for nature and to see teafarms and other farms, for 3-4days max. I liked Daniels lodge, it has a nice bar and food!!

I think its like every other capital city, but the twin towers, the shoppingmall and the large park, where its nice to be at night with a drink, if you want to see some cultural things, like temple, castle, ... you better take a tour with a bus, because its all out of the citycentre

We stayed in a condo, an appartment for 6 with a swimmingpool, sauna, garden and fitness, this for 1200 RM a month
every day we had to go to work with the bus, a 20 min drive to jalan bagan jermal, near gurney drive
you never know when the bus will come, but we do know they start around 6h30 am untill around 10 pm
you find allot of geust houses (cheap), nightmarket and foodcourt

we walked to the lighthouse; it was very uncomfortable and at the end we were very tired; the lighthouse closes in the afternoon, around 4pm, and man who worked there took us back with his boat, because I dont think we would make it on time back befor dark; you also can go there with a boat from the village, so you dont have to do th long walk, we took about 2,5hours to go up, it was a walk with allot of upsticals of nature, much fun!!

yup..penang is a nice place...2 bad i only get to stay for 2nites.

But weather here kinda hot right now...maybe due to the rainy seasons bah. But I do agree dat Penang got alot of good stuff to makan lor..just not enough time for me to sample all the goodies!!!

yes this tourist had a good stay in Penang , my homeland. But I must say he or she should improve the English Language spoken and written online. Sorry about the English part, but this tourist need to know a lot more about the ins and outs of Penang Island.
