I'm planning a similar trip, maybe in 2009, and I'd like to know how you found the driving.

If you ever find the time to write up a trip journal telling what you actually thought about all these places it would be really helpful. For instance, you have many places listed for each day, did you really get to all of them? Did you just look at Holyroodhouse from the outside, or tour the inside?
