My friend and I are trying to plan a trip aproximately of 14 days, leaving Syracuse,NY on Aug 9 and arriving back in Syracuse,NY on Aug 22nd. Most of the cities are tenative places we would like to go.
On the way down we are traveling closer to the coast and going trhough DC and Raliegh definately. The way bck will be a little further western going up through the smokey mountains and to Cedar point amusement park in Sandusky, OH.
We are college students that love to camp and hike as well as go sightseeing and go out at night on the town.
Does anyone recommend any places along the way? I like to stay away from tourist but I know we will run into them at the many sights that are worth seeing.
We are on a budget but are willing to spend a little cash on something that is worth it. Let us know what you guys think.
A must see attraction off I-86 is Watkins Glenn State Park, park at upper enterence pay $7 per person, bring your cam-corder. Stay at Erwin Motel on US route 15 about 30 minutes from PA state line. Should you wish to proceed on US-15 South into PA you can stop at Williamsport, PA for the Little league world series.
