Summer in Palm Springs

I keep forgetting that people can view our trip... the detailed info is to make our lives easier, and I see no reason to not have it in public view, but still, it's kind of weird! So, I thought I'd make it clear how we arrived at decisions on what to include:
1. Lodging - after extensive research and contacts with numerous hotels, etc., we chose the one whose representatives had been the kindest and most helpful.
2. We paid about $12 for a PSVAL card, which gives discounts at various local sites.
3. I chose the spa for 2 reasons:
a. again, the representatives there were by far the nicest and most helpful
b. they have a lovely kind of mission statement on their Web site that makes me believe they offer what I'm looking for... somewhere below snobby but above my cousin LoRee's beauty parlor. :-)
