Try US 12 from Missoula MT to Lewiston ID. Make sure you go down the gorge on your way to the Pacific Coast Highway. Stay on PCH to Bay area coming out of OR and consider going gong thru Death Valley on your way to Vegas. It will be hot, but We have done it Aug in a Jeep with no top--not the best plan. It makes Vegas feel good when you get there. Monument Valley is neat and go to Canyonlands NP Park since you are hitting Bryce and Zion. Have fun.

Gorgeous pics of the places you have been. this helped me in planning my east coast trip. You stayed in Willits, Ca? That is where I grew up and then moved to the East Bay. I sure hope you enjoyed Mendocino County.

Awesome photos! FYI, "shoo fly" pie is one of the best "Dutch" pies ever made. Had you tried it on your way thru PA? You should have! If purchased from the Amish, it would have been good, I'm sure, they make the best. Been to Niagara Falls too, many years ago. It's beautiful! We've been to Nashville, Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, TN ~ love the Smokies! A view to witness first-hand! Never been west past Nashville, looks beautiful too. One day.........
