Very similar to what I'm doping in just a few days. We've had to adjust the part that includes Indpendence, Ca (Onion Valley Campground) as it is currently burning down due to forest fires. You may want to co0nsider the impact the charred landscape may have on that portion of the trip.

We have been watching the fires. Hopefully, they will die down within two weeks. That's what we're hoping for. It's 71% contained currently.

What is the best thing to do at Sequoia National Park for a half-day visit? Take Crystal Cave off the list, though, I've been there before.
