Your motor coach will drive you, for approximately one hour, to the rack railway where you will board a train for the 14-minute journey to the top of the mountain.
Here, you will have an exceptional view of the Montserrat mountains’ spectacular panorama. The scenic countryside, on this 40-mile ride, soon becomes craggy as you near the mountains.
See the famous Montserrat Monastery, founded as a Benedictine Abbey during the 11th century, that is firmly perched on a ledge hanging 2,400 feet above the Llogregat River, promoting the most amazing photographic moments. Here, the 12th century Black Virgin of Montserrat awaits your discovery.
Visit the beautiful monastery with your guide, enjoying free time afterwards, plus the chance of maybe listening to the famous Boys’ Choir. Your drive back to the ship will be by motor coach.
