Day 1.-The Journey starts in Melbourne, Australia, an evening flight via a 2hr stop in Dubai, arriving in Rome the following afternoon.
We booked a car for 14 days starting and ending at Fiumicino Airport, Rome.
Day 2. - whats left of it to meander around the spannish steps, the Trevi Fountains, shops and diner in the clubbing district. Night at "Camping Tiber" a few minutes drive outside the peripheral Hwy.
Day 3. - Vatican Museum, Sistine chapel. St. Peters Basilica, Colloseum, The Forum and if it ain't enough Lido Beach for a picnic dinner over local wines.
Day 4. - Sunday morning market browsing, then drive to Florence (3hr).
Check out Il Duomo, a museum or two, galleria d'academia and mozaics, if time permits a quick drive to Pisa to see the Leaning Tower. back to Florence for the night.
Day 5. - early start at the leather markets then drive to Venice (3hr). Sight-see the islands of Venice maybe a boat to Murano to see glass making. Dinner near the Piazza Di San Marco
