Newport, my second home. My dad is from Newport, so I practically grew up there in the summers. That probably explains my obsession with the beach. I try to go once every year, but haven't been able to make it out lately. I love the beaches in Jamaica, but Newport beaches are they're own species. No white sand, no crystal clear water, no resorts on the beach (paradise). In fact, Second Beach (Sachuest Point) is protected land. Nothing will be built there. Just forest; no mini golf, no haunted houses like in Myrtle Beach or Virginia Beach. This is actually a great place for fishing. My uncles, cousins and brothers all have gone here to fish. Also home of the Newport Jazz Festival, and Folk Festival.
