My wife, 11 year old daughter and I are looking forward to visiting with new friends and experiencing new adventures together. Any advice on places to see, things to do, places to stay would be much appreciated. I plan on updating this planner as the trip comes together and will put up pictures as well.
Still in the early planning stages but will spend a couple nights in Munich. This will allow time to visit the English Garden, Dachau, Nymphenburg Palace, the Marienplatz and have a few Maas beers along the way.
Time for a trip down a real Alpine slide, a trip up to the Zugspitze, a visit to Neuschwanstein, and relaxing swim time at the Garmisch Alpspitz Badecenter. And of course a bier or two in the evening.
I spent two years in the Army stationed in Gelnhausen and a trip to Germany wouldn't be complete without visitng the old town and having a jagerschnitzel and a beer at the restaurant by the bahnhof.
This trip looks like so much fun and very planned out. I'm sure your family will enjoy it. You should upload some pictures when you get back! I hope you have will time for shopping:) Best of luck!
I'm glad you decided to take this trip! Banja Luka is a warm, cosy place, much like the au pair you mention. People are the greatest asset of this area. Munich is also the place to go in Germany, to me more interesting than the north. While in BL, why not consider visiting Serbia? You won't regret it. Have a great trip!
